Control Valve & PSV - Operation, Calibration & Testing

Control Valve & PSV - Operation, Calibration & Testing

Introduction:

A control valve is a valve used to control fluid flow by varying the size of the flow passage as directed by a signal from a controller. This enables the direct control of flow rate and the consequential control of process quantities such as pressure, temperature, and liquid level. One of the most critical automatic safety devices in a pressure system is the pressure safety valve. The primary purpose of a pressure safety valve is the protection of life, property, and the environment during an over-pressure event in a pressurized vessel or equipment.
