Process Automation System - Backend

Introduction:

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) are small industrial computers with modular components designed to automate customized control processes. PLCs are often used in factories and industrial plants to control motors, pumps, lights, fans, circuit breakers, and other machinery. The training is designed for individuals with minimal experience in PLC programming who aim to develop a strong foundation in industrial automation using FPCL S7-300/S7-400 PLCs.

Objective:
  • This course will introduce the PLC system. Siemens PLC S7400 will be introduced; along with Simatic Manager hardware configuration software and HMI software WinCC.
Who Should Attend:
  • Instrument Engineers
  • Instrument Technicians and Supervisors
  • Process and Operations Engineers
Contents:
  • Fundamental concepts of programmable logic controller; their components; and working principles
  • Architecture and features of the Siemens S7-300 PLC system
  • How to configure hardware; create programs
  • Write basic PLC programs using ladder logic; function block diagrams (FBD)
  • Practice creating and testing programs for industrial automation tasks
  • Configuring input/output modules; power supplies; and CPU modules
  • Integrate and troubleshoot hardware components in a system
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoot common PLC hardware and software issues
  • Diagnostic tools in STEP 7 for fault analysis
